What is aerial?

Aerial lessons refer to a type of fitness or dance training that involves suspended apparatuses such as aerial silks, aerial hoops, and aerial hammocks. In these classes, participants learn to climb, wrap, and perform different poses in the air using the support of the apparatus and their strength. Aerial lessons provide a full-body workout, improve flexibility, and enhance core strength. They also offer a unique artistic expression as participants learn to incorporate performance elements into their routines. Aerial lessons are suitable for individuals of all fitness levels and ages and can be a fun and challenging way to stay fit and explore a new form of movement.

Instructor Bio

Natasha discovered the world of aerial in 2018. Although she had no prior background in athletics or fitness, she quickly fell in love with the art of aerial after a few intro classes and has been taking classes weekly ever since. After trying all the apparatuses, Natasha found her flow with aerial lyra and hammock, and she progressed to an advanced level on both through consistent training over the next five years. In June 2023, Natasha completed the Intro to Teaching Aerials certification through Nimble Arts at the New England Center for Circus Arts in Brattleboro, Vermont. Natasha now teaches aerial lyra classes weekly, substitutes aerial hammock classes, and is available for both lyra and hammock private lessons at Kama Fly Fitness in Manchester, NH. In her classes, you will learn how to create a fluid and seamless series of moves that flow together, with a focus on technique to help you improve your form and build strength. As an experienced aerialist and certified instructor, Natasha brings a passion for movement and a commitment to safety to every class she teaches.
